WIP: Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Sportswear

Hi guys, started this kit last few months ago, this is going to be my 1st kit with engine details

details on the kit:

quite alot of mold line, and its actually quite thick

nice & sharp details

decals:

solid colors are sharply printed but pics of the girl & guy not that sharp, but it fine

after a quick dryfit of the kit:

fitting looks good though not really perfect, there's some gap around 1mm

closer look at the body:

circle in RED are seam line need to be cover
circle in GREEN are panel line too shallow, need to be rescribe
circle in BLUE are spure mark & WTF, compare the box art, a lot of work need to be done
also a BIG gap circle in RED

i initially plan for an OOB built and also how to apply large decal, i never did any racing cars with large decals, but after googleing a while, found some nice engine details, and i was tempted to try some wiring/plumbing later

chassis sink holes and seam lines fixed

rear cowl seam line fixed, panel line rescribe

chassis prime for error check

front cowl mold line remove, panel line rescribe
also i fixed the front opening/intake funnel which is 2 part
[hr]
seamline all fix and putty

Nice work you have done so far.
Yes the mould lines etc. do take a lot of time and effort...

Keep it up

Great start! The small vertical seams below the door (that you left partially unfilled) - did you have a reference showing that?

Re: WIP: Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Sportswear

mrawl: u mean the gap circle in red? actually there shouldnt be any gap, just that the body didnt align properly with the chasis, i accidently move it when turning it around , notice the little hole in blue circle, it shouldnt be seen when the body and chassis is align

this is the reference i got

I didn't mean that gap, but I see you filled the gaps I was referring too anyway So yeh - no gaps below the doors looks right.
