Do I need to balance after changing tires already on rims?
Hi,
I have 2 set of tires on different set of rims, During season change I am moving from snow tires to normal tires, Can I just replace the tires or I need to do balancing again, Do we need to balance only when we put on new rims or every time we rotate during season change? Thanks --rubs |

Re: Do I need to balance after changing tires already on rims?
if you didn't see any of the wheel weights fall off the rim during storage, then you'll probably be fine...
torque those lug nuts properly and find out if there's a "shimmy" while going down a highway as well... rotate front to back and go at it again... still shimmy after that? one or more tire/rim probably lost a wheel weight and then you'll go in for a re-balancing... |
