Welcome to AF!!

I suggest you stick with a 3.8L SC engine. The blocks are essentially the same but the NA has higher compression thatn the SC engine which may cause you some issues. If you are looking for a good used engine for your car contact Ed Morad at moradpartscompany.com. He has a store on e-bay but if you contact them direct you can get a better price. He can help you with a short block as well.

A shortblock is not the way to go sometimes. If you intend to keep it,put in a Jasper reman with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. It is cheaper to put the timing cover and oil pan on a reman and Jasper proved this.
