Talking 1968 Dodge Charger R/T

Well, after a LONG break I am finally back into modeling. The new '68 Charger kit kicked it off for me. This build is going to a friend that owns a 1:1 '68 Charger. Right now it is rough, but the model will depict the finished car. I don't have much done yet except for painting the body and scratch building some side marker lights. The paint is Tamiya TS-19. It has not been polished or clear coated. I shot it directly onto the body without primer. I am going to give photoetching a shot. I have etched PCBs before. This isn't much different. I am going to scratch build a set of Mopar Performance Valve Covers. Well, enough talk. Here are some pics.

Nice color for the body. Your valve cover design could pass for the ones used on Magnum 318 - 360 engines. The stock ones have the lines without the logo in the middle.

Looks like a good project,
TW

Paint looks flawless and the side markers came out nice. Keep up the good work.

Talking 1968 Dodge Charger R/T - Tiny Update

Here is a small update. I have put some of the motor together. I borrowed the 727 auto trans from the '71 Charger.

As far as wheels go, I am not sure yet. Nothing too crazy. Probably something along the lines of your typical modded muscle car. I'll have to dig through the parts box.
