94 PA Stalls When Slowing Down

My 94 PA will stall out when coming to a stoplight or stopsign. Before hand, if your lucky, you can see the RPMs drop a bit, come back to normal for a few seconds, then they will drop completely and the car dies. I've been told that it is probably the Throttle Position Sensor or the Idle Air Control Sensor. Any thoughts?

Re: 94 PA Stalls When Slowing Down

Could be the TCC (torque converter clutch)solenoid sticking on. Common GM Problem.
Try this- As your slowing down just before it starts to stall, shift the transmission into "N" Neutral. I the vehicle still stalls then your problem is elsewhere.
It would do good to retreive any current or history DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the vheciles computer to give you a head start on fixing your problem.

I did what you said on putting it into neutral and it doesn't stall or the rpms doesn't drop.
