98 ranger 2.5L runs rough
The timing belt broke. I replaced the timing belt and tensioner, lined everything up good and put it back together. It starts up fine, but runs rough. I checked it for codes and none were present. Any ideas? thanks

Re: 98 ranger 2.5L runs rough
do a compression test on each one of the cylinders to see if they all have good compression, did you double check the timing marks after you tightened the tensioner? if the compression test comes back with all 4 cyl within 20 psi of each other, all the timing belt stuff should be good, if not, double check your marks, if the marks are ok, but the comp. test is weak on one cyl, then the valves are probably bent on that cyl.
