Installing power steering pump pulley on '93 Sub.

I borrowed a pulley tool and removed the power steering pump pulley without problems. Now that I am ready to install the pulley the installation tool doesn't match up to the shaft. The tool I have appears to be 7/16 with a course thread. The shaft appear to be hex head? or smaller diameter in about 3/8inch or so. Hard to tell if it is threaded. Can anyone chime in and tell me what I need to install the pulley. Its on a '93 Suburban.

Re: Installing power steering pump pulley on '93 Sub.

A pulley removal tool is not always a pulley installation tool. Some are both, some are only removal or only installation.

A installer will look something like http://www.stu-offroad.com/steering/...pspulley-2.htm

Most auto parts stores rent the installation tool.
