Post 01 740i idle problem

Hey I have a 2001 740i non sport, with 94,434 miles.
Last week, the car started to come to idle at red lights then just die, this starts after the car comes to running temp. The service engine soon light is also on! The car runs fine at highway speeds, but has longer shifts then normal around the city speeds.

Please help!

Re: 01 740i idle problem

Have you pulled the OBD codes yet? That is not much information to go on. My first guess is an intake leak??? Next, maybe a bad DME relay??? Maybe an ignition switch??? Bad DME??? I think you get the clue. More information please.
