FARA Event April 4/5th Homestead Miami

Come see a cool racing event and watch the fastest modified GTS's I have ever seen.

Also, this is a spectator event and there should be over 5,000 spectators coming.

Check out the magazine article about the weekend's activity's.

This is the link, check pages 19 to 23

Re: FARA Event April 4/5th Homestead Miami

So, Brian,
These fastest modified GTS's you've ever seen wouldn't be the number 4 and 23 cars driven by Brian and Dan Goldberg in MP1, would they?

The reason I asked was that after visiting the FARA site and looking at the last two MP race photo galleries, there weren't any GTS's pictured- only bunches of Porsches, some Ferrari's, etc. I did notice those two well known and celebrated GTS drivers (Brian and Dan) were registered for this one.

I can't be there, but sure do hope you put it on them! Best wishes and looking forward to some more video and stills from Team MileStone MotorWorx.

No lea espanol!

Mike

Re: FARA Event April 4/5th Homestead Miami

Race Results.....

It was WILD! They really had thousands of spectators. The winners circle was packed. It was like a semi-pro event….media, cameras, GIRLS! Very cool. I left after getting my trophy but I heard some cars doing donuts as a victory lap….very fun!

They had drag races down the pit lane which was cool. My team mate took his CTS-V and dragged a few cars and had a blast. I watched some AMG’s, porsches, Nissan gtr’s etc…. Very cool to have all this activity. The place was PACKED!

The 90 min. race only had 2 laps under yellow which was a big change from Saturday. The Panoz ran great! We had a starting grid of PANOZ and PANOZ #1 and #2. We lead the entire field to the green in front of a few thousand spectators. My team mate and I both podiumed (2nd and 3rd) see attached. Considering we were in the unlimited class and there was at least 8 cars in our class...Not bad for our first race since Nov, 2008. My team mate beat me after I bent my splitter putting a wheel off and had to hit the pits to get it bent back up.

Lined up in pit lane (you dont use the false grid when spectators are watching)

Man those 997's and the new GT3R are FAST. We cannot keep up.

Also, I got my race car into grassroots magazine this month. I got a huge 1/3 page photo (page 157). They didn’t mention me but it’s still cool to have my car in a national magazine and some Panoz publicity.
