3800's recalled.

just heard on the news, 3800 engines recalled due to fire risks..looks like all their doing is installing spark plug wire retainers

I do have a 99 intrigue 3.8 and when I read the fix I am not going to bother, just a waste of time.

Hmm, that's friggin' funny. I guess the NHTSA is only concerned with a fire hazard.

What about when your intake explodes? Oh that's right, coolant isn't flammable.

Blame it on the Unions.

It's funny they recalled the 3800 supercharged version last year and are just getting around to the naturally aspirated models.

The root cause is leaky intake manifold gaskets, but why bother to fix that (more $$), just redirect the oil.
