Audi Closure

I just wanted to clarify a few things that have been said about Audi's for years. First of all a lot of people say Audi's are expensive to maintain and unreliable. Audi's are not for someone who doesn't have mechanical knowledge and is willing to work on their own car or have a lot of money to pay a dealer to fix it for them. second of all don't but parts from a dealer they will charge you 4 times as much then if you buy them online here is one site for example http://www.blauparts.com here is what they include in their timing belt kit
  • 1 Timing Belt
  • 2 Updated Timing Belt Tensioner / Idler
  • 1 Updated Hydraulic Tensioner Damper
  • 1 Heavy Duty Water Pump w/ Gasket
  • 1 Front Crank Seal (Improved 'Viton' Seal Material)
  • 1 Camshaft Seal (Improved 'Viton' Seal Material)
  • 1 Intermediate Shaft Seal (Improved 'Viton' Seal Material)
  • 4 New Allen Bolts for Lower Crankshaft Pulley
  • 1 Thermostat Housing
  • 1 Radiator Hose Clamp
  • 1 Intermediate Shaft Seal Oring
  • 10 Bolts and 10 Washers for Thermostat Housing and Water Pump
  • 3 Liters Pentosin G12 PINK Antifreeze (2-1.5L Bottles – Appropriate Amount for Complete Cooling System Flush)
  • 2 FREE Serpentine Belts and 1 V-Belt
  • FREE Thermostat With O-Ring
  • FREE SHIPPING (Limited Time Offer!)
  • NEW Detailed 'We Care!' Step-By-Step Audi A4 Timing Belt Instructions, Including Complete Front Bumper Removal Instructions!
  • Click here to rent the corresponding Audi A4 Timing Belt Tool Kit.
$269
now you could pay a dealer $1000 to put a new timing belt on your car and probebly not replace everything else or take the care that you would. Also ive heard people say that they've paid $600+ dollars to replace a tye rod end. Do you know how much a tye rod end cost? $80. Audi's are also very easily modified with bolt on exhaust systems need no welding, and turbos that work with stock parts and the good thing is the engine and transmission can handle it becuase Audi's are built for performance. you can even buy the same software that the dealership uses from Ebay with connector for between $20 AND $50. So to all of you that think Audi's are expensive I think they are relatively average if not cheap if you work on them yourself. performance parts are alot cheaper than my other car a 1997 3000gt which is two years older than my 99 A4. But most importantly they are one of the most enjoyable cars you will ever drive
