I cannot remember what it takes to take off the upper portion of the steering wheel. Its rather easy. I just annot remember if it pops off or if there are screws underneath of the column. If you can wait a day, I can check later tonight and get back to you. It's not very difficult. Just check the switch and make sure the part number matches. That is if you intend to go with a junkyard switch.

Pick one up from a Junk Yard. It's not something that really goes bad. If need be take yours out and get the part number from it and contact the seller and ask him what his part number is to verify that it's the right switch.

They should all be the same with in the years, atleast until the body style changes. The cruise control is on the steering wheel for the vehicles equipped with it. So I would imagine all of them are the same. Take it off if you want to be exact.

Re: multifunction switch

I have the same problem with my 02. My frind has a 00 and he had the same problem. He said his was the hazord switch. The turn signels run through the hazerd and his was sticking. I replaced mine only $26 from the dealer but that was not my problem. So I am still looking into it. Pleas post if you get your problem fixed.

That is because the relay is built into the hazard switch.
