mufflers
Going to put dual exhaust with magnaflows on my 86 lincoln town car, I know this is the mustang forum but I figured more people here would have experienced these mufflers, and we have similar engines. Problem is I cant decide between the straight through packed with acoustical fiber, or the xl 3 chamber turbo. Im going with the longer 24". Im afraid the turbo will be too quiet, but want to make sure the straight through wont be too loud. Im leaving the stock exhaust manifold with one cat each side. Thanks for any help.

Run straight through, I like quite, and on my 5.0 with 226/226 510/510 cam, they were. But, went pretty loud at WOT.

so the straight through is actually quieter than the turbo? I was under the impression it would be the other way around.

I did not say that. I was just telling about the straight throughs, which to me are turbo mufflers anyway.
