Need to program remote '02 GA SE

I see lots of different ways to reprogram the factory remote for my 02 grand am se. Why are they all different and which one is the least complicated? Thanks

I thought the stealership had to reprogram the 2001 +.

I got the instructions from this forum, I've already tried one and it didnt work.

Thats one of the methods but I havent tried that one yet. I tried the one where you hold down the lock/onlock on the door and turn the key on/off/on/off ect... that didnt work, so I'm up for suggestions.

Thanks for all the help. Brought it to dealer, my key fob worked fine JUST NOT FOR MY CAR, sales guy gave me wrong one when I bought the car. Dealer had a used one for $25 and charged me $40 for the reprogram. I just wanted it done so I paid him. Any ways thanks again
