Cooling Fan Relay
I have a 1998 Cavalier. The cooling fan does not run. I need to knowif I have the correct relay. Can someone tell me the correct numbers that need to be on the relay. The fan was comming on and now it is not. My son switched out relays but I think it may be the wrong one. |

Re: Cooling Fan Relay
Honestly, if the relay physically fits in the holes, it should work. At least for a bit. I believe the fuel pump relay is the same as the cooling fan relay. Switch them, if the car starts and runs, the relay is good. The most common problem on these cars is the cooling fan motor going bad. Check the fuses first, then check for battery voltage across the two terminals on the radiator fan connector. If you have battery voltage there, the motor is bad. The connector can be hard to get off sometimes, but an angled pick usually lets you pop it off.
