Trans and front end springs and supension and tires and brakes and rad exhaust and computers and wiring to start with. Also insurance and state title regestration and lisense will need changed for bigger engine. And it still may be illegal to operate it on a federal highway after you are done. Saftey equipement and federal epa emmisions guide lines has to be done. If you want a bigger engine just get another truck and be done with it.

After she says OK. Figure out what you want and shop around for the best deal. 5.3 makes a good gas engine in Silverado. But If you want power make sure it has what you want before you buy it. Good Luck
