Re: Radiator Fan test ?

Both fan's power go through relays, one for the air conditioning condenser fan and the other for the radiator cooling fan. So if you pull the relay for the fan and jumper the connector (wht to blu/grn and on the other relay wht to blu/blk), the fan will run if it is good. The other way is to short the coolant temperature switches to ground. Coolant temperature switch A (wire color blu) controls the radiator fan relay and coolant temperature switch B (wire color wht/grn) controls the condenser fan relay. These coolant switches are typically located at the top of the engine near where the radiator hose connects to the head. The radiator fan circuit is pretty basic and involves the relay, coolant switch and fan. The condenser fan circuit is more complicated and involves the coolant switch, relay, gan and the cooling fan timer.
