93 ZJ5.2L lack of power

well let me start out by saying for awhilenow a buddy has been telling my about is jeep having no power butt runs fine besides this.

well 2day after work it was a little wet out and i tested it out in the parking lot at work and I gunned it trying to get the tires to break loose but they wouldn't - I even made sure it was in 2WD and nothing I mean it seriously lacks power, i had a 94 ZJ w/ 5.2L and t had plenty of power - his thing honestly feels like a 4 cylinder, t kinda feels like it's starting out in a higher gear so i put it in Lo 1 with no change. just did a tune-up and head gaskets back in august - so I don't think thats the problem. I will start with compression check and stuff like that but I would appreciate any other info.

Joe
