I recently bought a 90' accord 5 spd with an f22a1. It does not rev past 4000 rpms, and once it hits 4000 it acts as if it is hitting rev limiter.. Does ANYONE know what the problem might be? No one knows what it is. Please help!

Re: 90 accord dx 5 spd
They would go into limp mode and put a ceiling on revs like that when they lost one of the cam/crank timing reference signals....
There is one position sensor in the base of the distributor. Look under the cap and see if there is reddish/brown powdering all over everything in there. If so, the bearing in the dizzy is going bad...that powder is metallic and can interfere with inductive sensors...and the diz will eventually lock and break from it. Replace the whole thing if this is the case...
