yea could be ignition, but its weird how changing the injectors pixed it for a while

my car was running exactly like this when i bout it off a guy who had it sitting for like 5 years. i had to replace the spark plugs, wires, injectors, and have the ECU rebuilt to fix it. but since youve done all that already so. . .

Sigh...
 i tried taking off the cat. who knows coulda been clogged... haha hoped it was. Same problem just the fact that now my car was loud... I popped off the covers to my timing belt. and gave it a look. it looked like the cams on the 1st cylinder side were one tooth forward so i redid the timing. but... still the same... was guessing maybe timing threw things off and made the ignition fire off. How would i go about checking the ignition coils? or the igniter?? Could my cam or crank sensors be giving bad readings? I'm lost. btw do our cars have a map/mdp sensor? where could i possible find this? 93 vr4 fed.

i dont think it is gonna be a cam or crank sensor cuz most of the time if they are bad the car wont even turn on. As for the map our cars do not have one. You said you checked the cat but did you make sure the pre cats off each turbo are not clogged?? This is a wild guess but did you check your o2 sensors?

Guess i forgot to talk about those. The precats have been removed already. I got an exhaust system. front to back. Didnt check the o2s. But I've never had a bad o2 sensor ever giving me a problem like this...

Are you running the stock fuel pressure regulator? Have you checked your fuel pressure? What is the pressure if you have done so? Stock base pressure should be about 43 psi.

recheck your timing.. my money is on ur timing is off. ik uve redone it but if ur teeth were off or ur belt wasnt perfecly tight then ur timing will slip or still be off. recheck it. also do a compression test
