My '93 Grand Cherokee cooling system

Hi there. I had an '87 Cherokee w/ L6 engine on it.It had a radiator w/NO filler cap, a fan clutch and an electric fan that came on eather if overheated or when I turned the a/c on. Now.I just got a '93 Grand Cherokee with same engine(L6,4.0) This one only has a radiator WITH a filler cap and a fan cutch.Here is the challenge questtion. Would it be fisicly possible to trasform that cooling system into a 1987's one?,since that one worked a lot better,specially in summer time.....

I don't know what the difference is between the YJ/CJ and the GC engine compartments, etc., but I hope this helps some!
