Unhappy 89 Dodge caravan

Hi there,
I have an 89 dodge caravan 2.5 ltr. Last night hubby drove it home from work and then realised he needed to go to the store. He backed the van out of the carport and then it stalled. He started it and it stalled again. He started it a third time and was able to leave. When he got to the store he shut off the van and when he tried to start it again...it would try to turn over but not start. Towed home...We thought maybe the coil went...no spark. Replaced the coil and still will not catch to start....Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, amiswish
