Question engine wont start when warmed

i have a 1994 gmc sierra. 5.7L. when i first start my truck when the motor is completly cooled it runs perfect, but after i drive it for a little while and the motor gets warm to max temperature when i turn the truck off it wont start back.. it will turn over.. all it does is flood really bad and wont stay running.. please help

Leaking FPR diaphram or ECT sensor. With the engine hot, what is the resistance of the ECT sensor?

EDIT: I doubt this could be a leaking FPR because on TBI models, the fuel pressure drops to zero when the key is off.

You can bypass the ECT by removing the connector (next to Tstat in intake manifold) and create a jumper wire between the 2 wires in the connector. If it starts good warm with the jumper wire, the ECT is bad.

Your other option is to use a scan tool and see what temp is being reported by the ECT.

ok i did what you said by jumping it.. still no luck did the same thing. i know the vaccuum is correct, its not the computer, its not the sensor on the side of the throttle body, i have no idea

Maybe ignition coil, ignition module, have you checked into these?

I would replace the coil then, that is a common problem of a vehicle that the same symptoms as yours, not starting after warm.

ok, is that the coil that is connected to the distributor?? i believe it has 2 wires attached to 1 clip

I'd have to see a picture to see what you are talking about, but if you are talking about the thing connected to your center plug wire on the distributor, yes.
