Cool Corner of a Yard (Scale Production) - little dio for photos

Hi,

since a long time I am searching for ideas to make a little diorama for exhibitions or photos.

Now from Scale Production 2 resin "walls" are available http://www.scaleproduction.de/produc...n-Diorama.html - my chance to make the dio

After priming the parts I added the basic colours, that were drybrushed and still will be drybrushed.

What I did up to now:

One of the walls:

I added a window shutter, made of wood

here the window frame and "glas"

the longer wall with the gate

Next thing I need is a base to fix the walls, but this will take some time, because on Thursday IŽll leave for a one week holiday

Wohoo... I've been waiting for something like that for ages. It might not even be that hard to build one - if you ever get around too. Way easier to buy a resin copy

Will the cobblestone base be also available from SP?

Very cool, perfect for vintage european cars. Almost makes me wish I made more of them to be placed in such a cool setting. You've done a great job painting them, very lifelike. I bet Plastruct makes a cobblestone that would be perfect for the base.

Good idea with these Plastruct cobblestone, but I think, they are rather regular. Looking at the odd walls I think about scratchbuilding those cobblestones.

Re: Corner of a Yard (Scale Production) - little dio for photos

Hi,

yesterday I bought a wooden base, glued 2 0,5 mm wooden stripes on it as a base for the walls and covered the corner with some putty.

Re: Corner of a Yard (Scale Production) - little dio for photos

Hi,

meanwhile the ground is finished, maybe I will add some brighter colour-coats.

Next is a part of a roof, IŽll add. A friend milled some sheet stripes

Gluing the stripes together will make the roof

Hi,

although interest doesnŽt seem so high on this thread here another update

tiles for the longer wall are glued and painted, will get some washing and clear flat

Tiles will be fixed to these rafters

fixing points for the drip rail

... somewhen this is what it should like

I am usually not into dios but, yours is coming along nicely. Your technique looks like it could be used in more than one application. This is a handy thread so far.

Very cool and awesome work. . .

I've always wanted to replicate this facade as a backdrop in a display. Just never got around to it. . .

Yours is killer!. . .

Very cool work so far! I really like the... err... "pavement" you've used. Very provincial
