Buick Century 2001 Cruise control issue
I have a 2001 Century and have been having issues with the cruise control. I can get it set but then the car jerks like it's either not getting enough gas or too much and off the cruise control goes, then after that happens I can't get it set at all. I've tried adding fuel injector cleaner to a tank of gas, sometimes that helps but lately it doesn't do a thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Buick Century 2001 Cruise control issue
How many miles on the car? Have you ever changes the plugs & wires? This could also be an indication of crankshaft sensor failure. Have it scanned for misfire DTC's (codes).

Re: Buick Century 2001 Cruise control issue
69,000 miles, never changed plugs or wires. Had the cruise control sensor replaced in 2006 because it wouldn't work at all, after it was changed it still didn't work because of a loose wire the mechanic found when I took it back.
