Unhappy 1994 Ranger 4cyl check engine light/ABS light wont start on cold mornings

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder. Recently I have been experiencing some electrical/ start up problems. My check engine light goes on and off intermittently as does my ABS light. On very cold mornings(below 40) it won't start. I brought it to a mechanic and they told me that it was the coil packs, so they replaced one, and it didnt solve the problem. I have also had a problem with the fuse for the door chime/stereo burning out. I had it tested at Aamco and they got these codes back from their transcan: 222-NO IGN. DIAG SIG, 223-NO DPI CONTROL, 224-COIL 1,2,3, or 4 CKT FAIL. They suggested that I have them run an electrical diagnostic to narrow it down? I dont know what is going on, but the truck starts and runs fine on the average CA day...I just can't smog it until I can clear these codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: 1994 Ranger 4cyl check engine light/ABS light wont start on cold mornings

I have a 1995 ranger and my ABS light and my check engine light flashes every once in a while and my ABS wont work sometimes, I hooked it up to a computer and it told me the turbine speed sensor is bad. Might be part of your probs.. as for the other stuff I really dont know. How old is the battery?
