Looking For Some New Wheels

I'm experiencing clear coat failure again on 5Zigens and I'm fed up. So I've been looking at new wheels. Sadly 5Zigen seems to be the only manufacture making 17x9 wheels that fit these cars. So, I'm going to have to move up to 18s which has me worried about weight and most of all bending. I've been looking at a few from TSW:

Modello:

Nogaro:

Vortex:

What do you guys think? Do you think they will look good? Does anyone know anything about TSW, any experience with their wheels? Also, should I be concerned about bending them?

That's whole issue. I can find plenty of 17"x8" wheels but I refuse to to below stock which was 8.5" wide.

Which wheels are you looking at? I looked on their website and the biggest I could find was 17x8.

Re: Looking For Some New Wheels

Dont know exactly what kind of wheels you are looking for but

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...Q5fAccessories

If you go to ebay and put in 17x9 wheels you will get a huge list.

That's what I'm leaning towards.

I'm just worried about weight and bending them being 18s.

Just looked through them. Mostly Corvette and Mustang replicas.

Only if you increase the diameter. As lone as both the front and rear wheels are the same diameter you're fine. You can still have a wider wheel in the rear.

Re: Looking For Some New Wheels

I've always thought the TSW Cadwell is sexy(plus the 18x9.5 has a 3in. lip).

Re: Looking For Some New Wheels

I really do like those a lot. I just worry about the tires being a lot more expensive past 245 or 255, I can't remember. I wonder what they weigh. I was looking all last night and found that the 18x9 Nogaro weighs about 26 pounds which isn't horrible. I also found a Moda wheel I liked but in true Moda fashion it weighs a ton.

Perhaps I could get those and go staggered.
