Thumbs down what works for a 2000 P71?

my p71's engine failed due to the timeing chain and now i need a new engine.

so will a 2001-2003 engine work?

will the computer need to be pulled from the 2001-2003 car as well as the engine?

anything else?

You nshould be able to use any of those engines. You may need to change sensors to make the connections work. Cost is determined by region and demand. Our price around here is less than 3000$ for a long block brand new. So call various salvbage yards to see what prices you can get. Lots of places will give a warranty for a little while also.

i found several for 1200 and less.

would a mech be able to change the sensors?

2001 had pi heads
2003 had the marauder airbox/maf

are you sure it will fit a 2000?

Any competent mechanic will be able to make the engines work in your car. The 2003 may require changing the motormounts also. The 2001 should drop in without any major changes.
