Automatic lights on 2000 siverado
hi is ther a way to make Automatic ligths off so i can only put my ligths manualy its 2000 silverado 1500 lt 4x4 drive plz let me know how to do it ty

no bro i know this switch i want it off forever so i can put my lights only just by turning light switch not when at nite they go on by it self so is ther way to do this???

you will the have to rewire the fuse panel..after you are successful let me know what you did, and the after effects if any..

Why? I think the automatic lights are awesome. There are lots of things I don't want the pcm to do for me, but headlights is not one of em. Had my wifes since new, and no problems with them to date, I really like em. I don't know for sure what an open will do, but I thinking taking the sensor out will have the lights on all the time, not off all the time. Easy to check though. The forward part of the top of the dash is just held on with pressure clips, just pull it up and you can unhook the sensor to test the theory. Don't know for sure, but I bet the bcm will through a light on the dash though.

the reason i want them off coz i do have hids and sometimes when i start the car at nite they dont come on coz when u turn the key the lights go on and when u start it they turn off for a sec and my hids dont came on coz of this and i got to turn them off whit the push button and turn them on again so thatswhy im asking

remove the light sensor and put a variable resistor on it and see if you can trick the BCM into thinking its sunny out...
I never did this ,,,, |
