I have a question about some forced induction parts and their costs.
I have a 4-door 1997 Acura Integra GS-R. So far, I have a cold-air intake and blue emblems. I love it in its stock form, it's still very fast and fun to drive, but... I am always wanting more and more power. Some of you guys are loaded and seem to have suped up cars like crazy before. I was just wondering what the cost would be (total) of suping up my Integra. Probably no more than about 12 psi of boost, with intercooler, blow off valve, boost gauge, turbo timer, boost controller, etc... I want this price list to be all inclusive, including injectors, wiring, fuel system, ECU, etc... PLEASE, for the love of God, do not just go on ebay and add the prices toghether. I want some real life statistics from someone who has actually done this before, please! Thanks!

lol wtf do blue emblems have to do with Forced induction:sun: :sun: j/k. not to be rude or anything, but this is a quesion you could find out on your own with a little bit of research.
i know theres prolly someone out there who can give u a pretty good idea of the cost, but with FI u need to do a lot of research. its a pretty heavy investment, often with pricey consequences. if you're going to race its one thing, but to just shell out the money to have a fast car is another. i aint trying to bash on fast cars, or ure need for speed im jus saying that u might want to research it a bit and at least get a general idea of what u are looking to spend. As far as looking on Ebay, thats shit. FI takes a beating, and you should only buy a used kit if absolutely necessary. Ive been doin a little research of my own, cuz i also want more power out of my car, and ill proly put a sc on it sometime next summa (when i have money) After the sc, the fuel rails, and new injectors, (plus labor and tax) itll be around $5000. Sorry to ramble on and on but jus make sure you really want to do it before u do. After all, GS-Rs are fast to begin with, and there are other ways to get more power out of your engine

My blue emblems add 50 hp!! j/k.
I don't know if I dare SC/TC my car now. I just got nailed for going 94 in a 65 zone. 29 MPH over. That's gonna be a big ticket. My car is all stock except for my CAI. I am afraid of what I might get pulled over doing if I add a TC! Thanks for the advice, though. I looked into it, and with pretty much everything i need, it'd be around $5500 to $6000 if I wanted to make sure that it does not harm my engine in any way.

Ebay and JUNK YARD parts works and cost a whole lot less once you know what youare looking for. You are not going to buy some crap or anything like that.. So far my "junkyard" setup has come up to approx $200 us and I alreay have the following:
small intercooler turbo timer t3 turbo d series manfold adapter plate So it all depends on if you want the ease of a bolt on kit or if you are willing to do some looking it can save you a whole lot of money and you will still have a dependable kit in the end. |

200?
sheesh zort, if FI was that cheap, i think we'd all have turbos
quake: for $6000 dollars u could buy a decent big block muscle car. sure the gas mileage is shitty, but the power u are looking for would be right there, all stock.

Turbo has cost me somewhere between 5500 or more with kit, install, redone oil return line, afc, injectors.... 3" exhaust... bunch of other shit. The hole just gets bigger is really the reality of it. You spend that 5 grand and think your done, no one is ever done... then the decide they want more boost or build up the engine, or they blew their motor, or something.... theres ALWAYS something else...

All he has to do is upgrade to a GM 3 bar map sensor and he'll be able to handle up to 30 psi!!!!
