Repair details & Parts info RH mirror impact

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your interest & help.

RH mirror assembly took impact of my unfortunate clip of a plastic road horse tonight.

Mirror assembly snapped towards car and mirror glass broke.
Initially mirror assembly slips back pretty good but off 1/2 from properly seating.

Most likely something that mounts it a bit bent, so somehow pop off mirror from door & see if something can be done (bend back ?).

I assume disconnection is made from the outside door & no need to go thru inside of door?
Anyone have a quick procedure for disconnection/disassembly?

Also where to find replacement glass by itself? I'd like to repair as I figure dealer part & painting may be a bit pricey.

Replacement glass can be bought at the dealer for a fair price.

The mirror is easy to remove. Twist it sideways on the base and you will reveal two bolts with 10mm heads. Remove those, unhook the power connection and its free.

You may be able to find a used mirror that matches the color of your car for cheap. Is it heated, or just non heated power? What color?

Thanks Stealthee.

Good to know that the dealer would just have the glass and I may not need the complete assembly. Will see what is bent after the base removed. The mirror is power & most likely heated.

I did twist the base & do see 1 bolt but since it is off-centered the second one may be sheltered from sight. Will check in the light tomorrow.

Any other ideas on what I might see on the base that may allow it to be recentered?

Color is Green.

Took off mirror assembly and it looks like there is a broken piece inside which allows mirror assembly to move back & forth.
May need one of your mirror assemblies, Girly VR4. Heated, power in dark green. Have a price?

Does anyone have a blowup of inside of assembly? I am at a loss as to how to dis-assemble.

Thanks, Mark

$40 for a full side mirror. I'll poke around this afternoon and double check, but I'm pretty sure we have one in green.

You swivel the side mirror, It's 2 bolts on the outside of the car, and unplug the little wiring harness, and that's it.

Thats how its done. There are two bolts. Remove them both and the whole assembly will come off.

I want to take the guts out.
Everything inside the plastic housing.
All pieces out & just leave an empty shell.
