2005 GMC 1500 Pitman shaft seal leak

My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD has fluid leaking out of the pitman shaft seal.

Is this hard to replace?

Re: 2005 GMC 1500 Pitman shaft seal leak

You could either replace the seal, or replace the steering box. I had this problem once before and got a steering box out of a junk yard. It lasted as long as I had the truck and it was pretty easy.
