2004 gt starts and stalls
My wife has a 2004 grand prix gt. She will drive to the store and come back out and will not start. it takes 4 or 5 tries or she has to push the throttle a little to get it to start and stay running. She says she doesn't notice any lights on. When I try to duplicate this problem the car starts fine it may drop in RPM a litrle but never dies. The motor is a 3800. Help would be appreciated for diagnosis.

Re: 2004 gt starts and stalls
Welcome to AF.
The '04 and up GPs with the Series III 3800 engine have the drive by wire throttle body system. A common problem is the throttle body getting dirty with carbon. So try cleaning it up using throttle body spray cleaner. We have several old threads on this issue so just do a search.
