No power on windows and A/C blower

Hello, my 97 Silhouette has no power in the power windows and A/C blower, the problem was intermittent since 2 days ago but now is permanent. Sometimes the blower works in high speed, but if try to operate the windows it stops, also if the lights are on (are automatic) they turn off too. I verified all the fuses and the thermal fuses and they are good. I have power in the windows thermal fuse, but not in the switch. I had to connect a wire directly to the door switches to close the windows, when I did this the blower was working good. I have a OBD II ELM327 Scanner tool and there is not any code. The rest of the accessories seem to be working. Do you have any clue about what I need to check? Thanks.

Hello all, this site seems to be great to solve all kind of problems, but unfortunately I didnīt receive any suggestion about my problem. For those who have the same problem, I found the contacts in the interior of the ignition switch were burned, looks like a problem you can solve with some sandpaper being very careful disassembling the switch, but I decided to replace it instead and keep the old as a spare just in case. The orange wire had voltage but as soon I tried to activate the windows or the A/C was too much current for the damaged contact.
Anyway I hope this information can help someone else with the same problem.

Re: No power on windows and A/C blower

this seems to be a common problem on olds. I have a 93 and have had to replace the ignition switch AND the dimmer switch twice each . They are simple to replace and fairly inexpensive . The wires and terminals tend to short out. The first time it affected the power system, preventing the battery from charging.
