Any of you guys ever jump from one car to another?

Have you ever done this?
One week you'll be obsessed with the Skyline GTR like there's nothing else, then a month later you'll be drooling over BMW M cars, then a couple of weeks afterward you'll be obsessed with the hachiroku. (Insert any cars in place of the names above)
I do this all the time. Right now my flavor of the month is the Skyline R32 GTR. I'm a 17 year old guy so maybe it's just age but do any of you guys do this?

No, it isn't just a guy thing, it is a car thing. If you love automobiles, then you've probably done this. I know I do it too. I do tend to stay a little more loyal though. I jump from a set of three of four favorites. But I find myself looking at the cars for sale a lot... and argueing with myself that I simply CANNOT buy another car.

Re: Any of you guys ever jump from one car to another?

I stay pretty loyal to 3000GT's as I have two of them. However, when I am looking to buy another car I usually look at countless other cars as well. It's nice because when I look at other cars I research them diligently which also gives me a better insight on other's cars and not just my own.

Am I the only one who thought this thread was about "jumping from cars?"

Re: Any of you guys ever jump from one car to another?

That pretty much describes too. Im gonna be graduating from college in May, and as soon as I get a job lined up Im going to start shopping around.
I know I want a car with RWD, V8 and Manual Transmission.

So far this list includes:

'10 Camaro SS
LS1 F-Body
Swapping an LS2/3/6 into my V6 Camaro
LS2/6 CTS-V
Pontiac G8 (even if I have to swap in the manual to the GT model)
C5 Z06
1st gen Camaro ('69 Z28 is my one true dream car)
early 2nd gen Camaro (LS1 swap ideally)
E39 M5

... really can't decide.

It's probably just hormones. Don't worry, as you mature your jumping around will surely calm down, and sooner or later you will settle on one or two true favorites. Just hope that when the settling comes, it's not at a moment when you're thinking of AMC Gremlins.

I've had just two cars since I started driving, mainly because I have more important things to focus on than a car (like school bills and saving for a house). I do, however, hope to have some nice cars as I make may way up in my professional career.

You wouldn't happen to have pictures of said Skyline, would you? Nothing against you, we just get a lot of 17-year-old kids in here claiming to have things that they don't.

Happens to me pretty much every day while I ponder the next vehicle I want to own...

I go through 2-3 a week.... normally solely based on which ones are on Top Gear that week.

No of course I don't HAVE one lol. This is the car I've consistently liked the most though.
