08 Interior problem
I have an 08 Escape, theother day the windows were down a bit when the rain came. Now I have water spots on the seats. Is this common with the other years?? How do I prevent this other than keeping windows up?? i know this is a recycled interior but this is Bad!! any help would be appreciated Thanks

Re: 08 Interior problem
How about a set of window vents. They allow you to crack the windows but keep all but blowing rain out. I prefer the in channel version. As far as cleaning the seats I have no suggestions.

Re: 08 Interior problem
I monitor several webpages on behalf of Ford and I hope you don't mind me posting here. The recycled material used in the upholstery has been pre-treated to help keep stains from setting into the material. You should be able to use any light upholstery cleaner like Motorcraft Professional Strength Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner (ZC-54 for short) to remove the water spots. Just follow the directions on the product you choose. And to be safe, first spot test the cleaner you use in an inconspicuous place of the upholstery.

I was intrigued by this recycled material for seats...the salesgirl was all typical sales marketing hype. Since its water, and the seats must be make of plastic type material..why not a rag and water to clean. OR
as the previous posting...carpet cleaner. But that sounds kind of harsh for rain water. Rain water is neutral!
