If it were me and I had the funds to do so I would go for a newer car with a warantee.

Re: In Need Of Opions/Advice

Selevt people keep telling me that and the same thoughts ran through my head.... but the fact of the Vr4 being so scarce kind of makes me what another one and to take care of it and make it a even better car... but at the same time the thought of a new car and not having to worry about problems with it also came to mind. I'm told I should be able to afford one the only thing is do I want to be making payments for the rest of my life or jsut putting some money into a car thats already paid off ?

I looked at reviews and things like that for the Sti 5dr and the Mitsu Evo. The Evo pretty much wins hands down but both the Sti and Evo have things about the body I don't like.

Does anyone know hard facts about these cars and even problems they may have? It sounds like the Evo is better but I mean everyone has their own opion. I plan on driving both but on a test drive with a Salesmen in the car makes it a lil hard to really drive a car.....

Re: In Need Of Opions/Advice

evo vs. sti day... the evo's win, hands down.

However, they're a box on wheels. They're cool sedans if you have some kids, or drive your friends around all the time. I would honestly never go out of my way to buy one. They have good aftermarket support, but are beat on from the day they leave the dealership lot, and are not stylish at all, pretty garish if you ask me. And they just scream "teenager!".

I'm 100% biased towards the VR-4, but for the prices they're currently selling for, what other car even comes CLOSE to comparing? The styling is still on-par with new sports cars, for 1/10th the cost, and the performance is great. As long as you get a good solid car to begin with, they're also relatively reliable.

But like I said, I'm biased, so take that for what it's worth

But i'd go with another VR-4, assuming you have a little shopping time to hunt down a good one.
When i first got mine, i loved the cars...not that ive had one for 4 years, nothing else will do. I will buy an Evo X eventually, but i will always have at least 1 VR-4.

Re: In Need Of Opions/Advice

Mitsubishi has already started pulling the plug on many of the 3000gt OEM parts. The 10 year mandatory for making parts for these cars is now over. I know of several engine parts no longer available for them. Still though, you can't beat the price and looks and power of a 3/S!

Re: In Need Of Opions/Advice

As far as Performance Sedans go I myself was thinking about getting an Audi S4 the 2001-2002 models have a 2.7l 250hp TT engine with stage 3 kits available AWD. Plus they have a pretty awesome Interior. Plus my wife said it would'nt scare her to drive it lol. they also have a limited slip differential and duel stability bars ESP traction. I saw a video of a guy driving one on a sheet of ice and it didnt spin out. I dont like the way Evos look either. Engines pretty nice but they need to make it look less like a soap box.
