Re: spring rates

Based on my bad experience today with this same exact issue, heavy duty moog springs for the front have the product #5428. The springs for the rear are #5419. These apply to 4 door sedan with A/C. I know this because i had the unfortunate experience of having some front springs placed in the rear. I posted a thread about this. any help onm that would be appreciated.

thanks

Re: spring rates

any other ideas out there?
c'mon, where are all the big guys that are always on here.
i know i havent been here in ages, but hey.

are you sure about those pn's?
the info i have from moog says that the front springs you listed have a rate of 393 lb/in
thats quite low considering the rears are 173 lb/in.

as a comparison, my camaro has moog 5662 fronts which are 707 lb/in rate
the rears are in the 150 lb/in range, but i cannot remember the pn's off the top of my head.

http://bbb-carb.com/moog_Coil_Springs.htm
this is the chart i am using.
and yes, the 5662 and 5664 is incorrect in the chart.
switch the rates for those two.
the 5664 has a heavier wire diameter.

Re: spring rates

K584s for the front. I used them on my 89 9c1.

Several others have used them when doing big-block swaps to even out the ride height.
