Steering Box
I just put in a re-build steering box in a '93 and lined up the pitman arm as stated but my steering wheel is at 90 degrees. I am assuming someone was playing with the box before I bought it and it's off. Would just a 90 degree rotaion of the pitman arm correct this problem or is there a way to turn the steering coloum mechanisms and steering wheel to match the box. I know the steering wheel can be turned but for the turn signals to line up to i'm not sure.
thanks -Mark

Re: Steering Box
Quote:
To center wheel the right and left tie rod adjustment needs to be done. First center steering gear box to center. If a 3 turn box left to right center it at center or 1 1\2 turn from left or right. Then adjust tie rod end adjustment to wheels straight ahead. and adjust toe in same time. A good aligment shop can do that for you if you do not have the equipment to set toe in. Good Luck
