2002 sport trac 4 wheel drive stop working

My four wheel drive just stopped working. No dash light and the switch seems like it is functioning...but nothing? Any suggestions anyone?

Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried searching the forum for symptoms similar to yours? There have been quite a few posts related to the shift motor on the transfer case. You might try keywords "transfter case."

Re: 2002 sport trac 4 wheel drive stop working

HI. My neighbor has a 2001 Explorer that had the 4x4 stop working. His will work if he pulls the #35 fuse for a few moments and the puts it back in. It will then go into 4x4 via the switch.
It will last 1 or 2 days like this before it has to be done again.
It also seems to need that to take it out of 4.

I am searching the forum to find the cure and I will get back to you if its the same problem you have and I find it.

Good luck.
