End of the Road
I'm sad to say that I'm finally letting go.
I bought a 95 Aurora in 2000 with 48,000 miles. 9 years and 131,000 miles later (that's 179,000 total) I will finally part ways with it. I have loved it more than I have hated it. It cruises graciously on all manner of highways and biways. The V8 is a monster. The interior is all comfort. Even now I wish I had been able to drive it until 200,000 miles. That was my goal but problems and needs have overcome. Problems: needs 4 new tires. Problems: substantial oil leak from valve covers (I think). Problems: brake fluid leaking, may need replacement of front brake lines. Replaced half of brake lines a few years ago. Problems: small rusted hole on pass. rear fender Needs: just bought a fixer-upper house and need a truck. Enter 04 toyota Tundra. I like the truck but nothing will ever be as good as the Aurora. If anyone would like to make an offer for parts or to fix up, let me know. I will probably donate it for tax write-off purposes. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning it and it would have easily made it to 200,000 miles running strong with a few problems as stated. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen for all your help over the years. This forum has saved me thousands in repair costs as well as the feeling of accomplishment (but mostly the $). If anyone has any suggestions about the car, the sale, or the donation, let me know. Sincerely, Aaron stickboy101 |

Re: End of the Road
Sorry to hear that. Where is the Aurora located? And what color is the exterior and interior? I might be interested.

Re: End of the Road
The car is located in Lexington Park, MD 20653. That's south of Washington DC, by the Chesapeake Bay. The car's color is a light blue silver (I think the official color is shark skin or shark steel or something like that). The interior is a darker blue. It has all the extras including a stock AC Delco 12 disc changer mounted in the trunk. It works with the factory head unit and steering wheel controls.
Let me know if you are still interested. |
