95 monte carlo Z34 engine swap?
What, if any, engine swaps are able to be done to 95 Monte Carlo Z34?
Which motors will fit, how difficult will it be? |

L36 (3800 Series II)
L67 (Supercharged Series II) 3800 Series I 3400 v6 LQ1 (3.4L DOHC) 3100 v6 Turbocharged 3.1L v6 3.1L v6 2.8L v6 Quad 4 Some of these swaps are easier than others. Some require a total re-wiring of the engine bay. Most require you switch the engine control computer, and often you must switch the transmission if you do that. You'd have to be more specific on which engine you want to put in your car.

that's a pretty good list above. The Caddy 4.9L V8 also fits, though I don't remember if there were any custom parts. Of the ones listed above, almost all should fit with all stock GM parts and only rewiring required. If you're interested in the L67 swap, www.luminasupercharged.com and www.l67swap.com shou;d be good places to start.Tim

Re: 95 monte carlo Z34 engine swap?
i had the same question as the guy who started this thread i have a 95 as well n i looked in to the l67 swap i found a walk through at http://mymonte.com/discussion/index.php?showtopic=23142 but it says something about obd1 in the 95 and a 99 gtp runs obd2 this would be helpful information for the both of us if someone could explain to me the difference between the 2 and also how hard is it to convert to obd2 or do u have to?or what can u do to run the swap is it a simple pcm swap n then a harness splice ?
sorry for postin here dude but i figuredit could help the both of us |
