Nissan Micra Replace Headlamp bulb

Hi

I'm having trouble replacing the bulb on my headlight of my Micra 06.

I pull at the socket - as described in my manual - but it doesn't come out.

I had problems with the other one, when I tried to remove the bulb.

I loosened the rubber seal, and pulled, but no luck.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the socket that fits on the back of the bulb. Do you twist it, yank it or what?

The headlamp is designed for Pixies with small hands. Eventually got it done by removing the whole lamp....
