93 4.0L won't start hot + terminal

Sure glad you guys are here to give me a little direction. My 93 4.0L refuses to start. The positive terminal on the battery is very hot even when car is shut off. This is confusing the factory security causing the security light to blink and a clicking sound by the glove box. It will start when jumped but not when a good battery is put in to it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Cowpie

Re: 93 4.0L won't start hot + terminal

Okay, Answer to my own question. Corroded positive battery cable. It didn't look bad but after Googling "Hot positive post" everything pointed to the possitive cable. Cleaned it and started right up. The security system action was a result of the low voltage. Thanks again, Cowpie

Bad connections are bad news especially on solid state electronics.
