Need Help!!
My car is having issues all of a sudden...I have a 1999 pontiac grand am se and pretty suddenly the car is having issues turning left and right. When the car is in motion it is easier to turn, but still not the same as it's always been. The only way i can describe this problem as tighness in the steering wheel and i feel like im wrestling with the wheel to get it turned. I havent driven it since i noticed this problem so i dont make it worse. If someone could please give me some answers that would be great!!

Re: Need Help!!
Welcome to the forum!
You should try searching the Grand Am forum to see if others have posted of similar concerns. It might be a common issue with a common fix. If you search and don't find anything, then you might want to move this thread to that forum, but please use a meaningful, descriptive title per the forum guidelines you agreed to when you registered on for an account. Your '99 might have electric power assist steering and maybe the electrical connector came unplugged or the fuse blew. -Rod |

Re: Need Help!!
Sounds like you threw a belt or the power steering pump died.
