Engine pics
I have recently been made aware
of these pics of what I believe to be #21R's spare engine, soon to be en route to the UK / Germany (?) to be kept as part of the spares package for #21R. I have added pics of #21R for reference, both from when it was in Connecticut and also at the Modena Trackdays. ![]() ![]() So, does anyone else have some engine-out shots that they can marry up with the real cars and show on here?

Re: Engine pics
Great pics. Really shows how dedicated McLaren was to making the car compact.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking that the engine looks really compact and then it occurred to me that the whole car is really compact. Big things come in small packages.

Re: Engine pics
It now transpires that the engine isn't en route to the UK / Germany as it wasn't included in the spares package - it's staying in the US at the moment, being stored in a private facility until it's needed.

Re: Engine pics
Now I'm in Heaven. Great pics, stunning engine. Some how the Engine is really beatifull. They say that example Ferrari's engines are more beatifull than normaly engines are, but this BMW V12 stunning.......
The engine looks very compact, but I really would love to see it live.... But maybe never got change to see... ![]() And the sound of course...... opcorn:
