98 Mustang 4.6 L P0136
Have a 98 Mustang w/4.6 L, throwing code P0136: catalyst monitor oxygen sensor,(O2-2 Bank # 1), showed no activity.
The sensor is brand new OE equivalant. The data stream does show that there is activity, at normal operating temperature. Have not ran a stream on it cold yet. Just looking for some brain storming. Any constructive comments appreciated. Thanx. |

Re: 98 Mustang 4.6 L P0136
P0136 is bank #1, (same side as #1 cylinder) sensor #2, (sensor after the catalytic converter) circuit malfunction. This could mean a wiring problem, a sensor problem, or a problem with the converter. The sensor monitors converter efficiency only and at operating temperature voltage should remain fairly constant around .4 volts. Hope this helps.
