review: interesting air valves (better than Tamiya's)

Hi,is this interesting?
Tuner Model Manufactory DIY air valve .
I may see the screw thread inside such tiny parts.

This is an assembled pic...wow....
Though the screw thread looks like a little bit wide when it is magnified ,
it is still a surprise, the screw cap fits the body so well.
it is a fun to tight the tiny screw cap on the body of the air valve for me.

Re: reveiw: interesting air valves (better than Tamiya's)

Let's get the point.
Tuner Model Manufactory (TMM=T2M in short) air valve VS Tamiya air valve
The left one is Tamiya's.
Tamiya's head is too round. I may see a dent around T2M's head.

Let's change the angle of view.

The tail of T2M's is Hex.Tamiya's is round.

Re: reveiw: interesting air valves (better than Tamiya's)

I applied these two air valves on a 1/12 wheel.
T2M's looks so good.

Do you feel T2M's too long?
Wait a minute. The length is adjustable!
I tight the screw cap.Now T2M's is shorter than Tamiya's.
Actually it can be adjusted shorter, but I feel the current length is ok.

Look at the air valve in the middle. It is T2M's

Re: reveiw: interesting air valves (better than Tamiya's)

I actually think Tamiya's look much better, because it doesn't look like a hmmm.. a bolt? But rather looks like a tire valve? Have you seen a tire valve with a thread down the entire length of the stem? Didn't think so.

Where can we buy these? I do agree, i think there should be threads on the lower part of the valve and thats it.

It depends on the time-frame you are dealing with. The earlier tube-type valves had threads all along the valve, the new tubeless type has threads only on top of valve, where the plug is screwed on.

Re: reveiw: interesting air valves (better than Tamiya's)

Thanks for the review. Even though I'm impressed by the machining of such tiny parts, I think the Tamiya tyre valves look better...they don't look as fat. The hex bolt does make it look good though...
