2007 Suburban...Adding a second battery?

Since GM (keep in mind I'm an employee of theirs) decided to be cheap and only install one 615 cca battery in my fully optioned, 1500 (GAS) LTZ...this thing eats batteries. Five minutes with the headlights on, on a 50 degree day and you are not going to crank it over? I don't know what they were thinking on this design....SOOOOO, I was hoping one of you could give me some sound advice. Does GM offer a harness to run over to the second battery tray? Should I buy an isolator and run my own wires? ETC.?? THANKS

sorry I have to say this but GM doe not build vehicles with designs that are engineered to last...thats why they lost market share over the years...

your battery is too small... I use a 850amp cca battery...this size has worked for me...the original batteries I replace after 2 years because up north this as built OEM battery is far too small.....

you can install another battery,, you can make your own cables ..just be sure to fuse the wires and use a good quality loom over the cables to protect...also you will find the cables need be of a larger guage wire...GM looking to screw the consumer again....

soldering and crimping makes the best connections,,,use a heat shrink insulator to cover the solder joints...

make sure the alternator is putting out the correct amps...
