Lotus 107B

I have started working on the Lotus I got (bought) for Christmas. I started one of these some time ago but messed up the decals. And buying a new one was cheaper then buying new decals for it.

I started with the "office". The cockpit received some Scale Motorsport carbon decals. I removed the seat belts and gave the seat a coat of Fauxe fabric for some texture and a coat of flat red. I added Scale motorsport seat belts to finish it off.

The dashboard also received some carbon, the lights where replaced with small dots made from 0,2mm styrene sheet. I also added a Top Studio connector to the panel on the left hand side. i really love the looks of these connectors, half the reason I wanted to build a F1 car was to use as many of these I could.

I have just started the decals, so far it's better than the first time around but not perfect. The nose decal doesn't wasn’t to do what I want it to but I think I can fix it. An one of the green stripes on the monocoque have a big tear in it, typical it's the same decal that made me stop the first time so I don't have a replacement. Hopefully a bit of paint and some green spare decals from the first kit and it should be ok.

Re: Lotus 107B

Looking awesome so far...I made such a mess of the decals on my 107B that I haven’t touched it since, so I know how you feel. The office looks top notch and I love that seat material. I will be watching this one closely!
